Those now iconic world hits from ‘The One and Only King´, they pretty much all pass by on the 22nd of March. In a unique, loving and strikingly authentic-sounding tribute, before the break, The Wanderers mainly emphasize Elvis’ Memphis years and the ‘there born’ Sun sessions. In the second part of the show they take you on a thunderous musical train journey that never ends. Then the big world hits also come by. From Heartbreak Hotel to Blue Suede Shoes, from Hound Dog to Jailhouse Rock and from gospel to ballad.
The unique sound of Johan Struik (double bass), Marc Burger (drums), Ron ‘Parelvet’ Smith (guitar), Govert van der Kolm (keyboards) and singer/guitarist Maarten Teekens is unparalleled, and brings you closer to Elvis during this theatre performance than you ever thought possible. Journalist and program maker Kees Thies tells you heart-warming Elvis anecdotes between the music, interspersed with special images.
