After months of standstill due to the corona crisis, outdoor sports are starting to move again. That gives the Wassenaar Volleyball Association the opportunity to restart with some brave from the youth department (see picture).
The youth from 12 to 18 years old play volleyball again, but then in the open air. Training takes place on the sports field of Adelbert College at Deijlerweg 163 on Wednesday evenings from 6 pm to 7.30 pm. Trainer Peggy Verweij, herself a very experienced volleyball player, has taken the lead again. In addition, a board member of WVV is always present during this specific “corona” training.
The Wednesday evening training continues until mid-June. The players Efi, Elly, Kim, Kinga, Livia and Melia are now enthusiastically playing ball.
New members, ages 12 to 18, are welcome. They can train without obligation, so without costs (until mid-June). In view of the special situation, they must register in advance. You can do this at secretary Jeanne Taal, tel. 06 24 84 82 58. So take your chance and come and enjoy yourself.
Good (sports) footwear and sports clothing is recommended. You do put on your clothes at home. There is no shower opportunity.
Of course, the corona rules are strictly enforced on the sports field and the instructions of the trainer must also be followed.
Unfortunately, parents and / or older brothers / sisters are not welcome on the sports field.

As it looks now, the new season will start on Wednesday 9 September 2020 with the training in sports hall De Schulpwei. So sign up as a member and you will automatically be informed about the start of the volleyball season and what conditions may be attached to it in the possibly still applicable “corona era”.
