De Spaanse pianist Javier Krohn verzorgt op zondag 16 november een bijzonder recital in de Dorpskerk, Plein 3 in Wassenaar. Van 16.00 tot 18.00 uur brengt hij een gevarieerd programma met werken van Granados, Mozart, Debussy en Albéniz. Scroll down for English.
Het concert opent met de “Valses Poéticos” van Enrique Granados, gevolgd door de beroemde Sonate in A majeur, K. 331 “Alla Turca” van Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart. Na de pauze speelt Krohn de sfeervolle Suite Bergamasquevan Claude Debussy, en besluit hij met drie delen uit Iberia (Boek III) van Isaac Albéniz: El Albaicín, El Polo en Lavapiés.

De in Madrid geboren Javier Krohn (1989) studeerde met onderscheiding af aan het Conservatorium “Arturo Soria” en vervolgde zijn opleiding aan het Koninklijk Conservatorium in Den Haag bij professor Naum Grubert. Hij won diverse nationale en internationale prijzen, waaronder “Ciudad de San Sebastián”, “Ciutat de Carlet” en “Santa Cecilia” (Segovia). Krohn trad op in Spanje, Nederland, Duitsland, Italië, Portugal, Oostenrijk, Mexico en de Verenigde Staten. Sinds 2019 geeft hij pianoles in Wassenaar.
Spanish Piano Recital in Wassenaar with Javier Krohn
Spanish pianist Javier Krohn will give a special recital on Sunday, November 16, at the Dorpskerk, 3 Plein in Wassenaar. From 4:00 to 6:00 p.m., he will perform an inspiring program featuring works by Granados, Mozart, Debussy, and Albéniz.
The concert begins with Enrique Granados’ “Valses Poéticos”, followed by Mozart’s Sonata in A major, K. 331 “Alla Turca”. After the intermission, Krohn will play Claude Debussy’s Suite Bergamasque, and conclude with three pieces from Isaac Albéniz’s Iberia (Book III): El Albaicín, El Polo, and Lavapiés.

About the pianist
Born in Madrid in 1989, Javier Krohn graduated with honours from the “Arturo Soria” Conservatory and later studied at the Royal Conservatory of The Hague with Professor Naum Grubert. He has received numerous national and international awards, including the “Ciudad de San Sebastián”, “Ciutat de Carlet”, and “Santa Cecilia” (Segovia) prizes. Krohn has performed across Europe, Mexico, and the United States. Since 2019, he has been offering private piano lessons in Wassenaar.
