Last Monday was a special day at Taekwondo Koryo Wassenaar. Under the guidance of Grandmaster Mazdak Zareei, students took their exams and proudly received their new yellow belts. Those who passed: Cecilia, Emilia, Liam, James, Mersana, George, Grace, Pieter, Tara, Giselle, Jay, Jessie, Elena, Linde, Anna, Lotte, Jan Jaap, Bink, Amir Ali, Abel, Vincent, Evie and Lucas. A well-deserved reward for months of training, perseverance and discipline.
At Taekwondo Koryo, it’s about more than just sport. Alongside sparring and kicking and punching techniques, members also learn practical self-defense skills, while building confidence and resilience. Classes take place in the gymnasium of the St. Bonifaciusschool and are led by an experienced grandmaster. It’s no surprise that Taekwondo Koryo has been named the best taekwondo school in the Den Haag region, and ranks among the top schools in the Netherlands and Europe.
Fancy giving it a try? Classes resume on Monday, 31 August, running every Monday from 4:45 to 6:00 pm at Kloosterland 5 in Wassenaar. New members – young and old – are warmly invited to a free trial lesson.
